Project Spectrum Purple of the Day

Did you know there are 53 references to purple in the Bible? Almost all of them have something to do with the building of the temple in the book of Exodus. They all reference the ancient understanding that purple symbolizes wealth and royalty because only the very rich could afford the purple dye gathered from a marine snail. Probably my favorite purple verse is the one found in Song of Solomon--the love song between God and his people-- Your head crowns you like Carmel, and your flowing locks are like purple; a king is held captive in the tresses. Song of Solomon 7:5. Wow. Makes a girl feel special, you know? Go your way today knowing you are beautiful and loved by the King.

I love that Bible verse! Why didn't any of my dates ever say anything like that to me?

Thanks for your compliments on my Rogue. After that hood grafting experience, I need the encouragment!

That verse gives a very beautiful image doesn't it? And speaking of building of the temple and all, if that is your game you need to talk to my hubby. He is a walking repository of factual info on the building of the temple and even did a short movie on his computer where basically you fly through one of the rooms of the temple and see how it might have looked.
